Civilizations of the Americas
Historians encounter difficulty when studying the pre-colonial civilizations of Latin America. Why do we know less about the Americas than Europe? Based on what we do know, consider the social structure, religion, and trade of these cultures. What does surviving evidence indicate about the vibrancy of civilization before the Europeans invaded?

European Expansion
After years of remaining focused on feudal struggles on the Continent, European kingdoms sprang to life and became global players. What enabled Europe to begin exploring the world? Choose at least three reasons for Europe’s sudden interest in global expansion. Furthermore, what led the explorers to become violent in fulfilling their goals?

We covered a few reasons behind Europe’s expansion, so please write a full answer to this question and then consider the selections of at least two of your classmates and their explanation for the violence that accompanied European ships.
